After completing my undergraduate studies at the University of Florida (Gators), I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland Dental School in 1993. I have been practicing Dentistry for the last twenty years in Greenbelt and Prince Frederick, Maryland.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife, Behnaz, and my two sons Niekon and Dustin. I also enjoy traveling, playing basketball, watching movies, and eating chocolate.
Behnaz Shakoori DMD. is a general dentist providing cosmetic dentistry and sedation dentistry in greenbelt.
Dr. Shakoori is licensed as general dentist in the state of Maryland and Virginia.
After receiving my dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, I spent the next four year practicing dentistry with the United States Air Force. I completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Bolling AFB in Washington DC, where I had the opportunity to excel in various aspects of general dentistry. The following three years, I spent working as an associate dentist at Shaw AFB in South Carolina.
I look forward to spending the rest of my career in private practice helping my patients achieve a healthy mouth and a smile that they are proud of. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, golfing, and spending time with my husband Kenny and our dog Twix.
As a dentist I have been treating my patients in the Greenbelt area since the year 2000, and I still genuinely enjoy what I do every day! The friendships I've made with my patients and their families over the years mean a lot to me. It is my goal to always treat patients as if they are an extension of my own family. I can provide them with the highest quality of care and with a cosmetic smile they will enjoy for years to come.
My undergraduate studies were in Biology and Chemistry at SUNY College at Brockport, NY and I received my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA in 2000. I enjoy spending time with my husband Ali and children, Niekon and Dustin.
